Brant was the first character Pete rolled up for the MSU campaign, and thus his first character ever. I can still see, with almost perfect clarity, Pete rolling double-ought for Brant's extraordinary strength and asking me "Is that good?", while my eyes bulged in disbelief. Brant was just about the perfect fighter, though prone to bad luck on occasion. It was he, for example, who won a wish and while deciding what to do with accidentally mentioned Bealzebul's name. When the 5% chance came off and the Archdevil appeared, Brant had to say "I wish I hadn't said that", disposing of the devil and the wish both.
It all worked out, though, in storybook fashion. Brant rescued Princess Cilesia of Lycapsus, and she fell madly in love with him, and he with her. Her father knighted him and made him Prince of Narosla, and he and Cilesia were wed. Brant still rules Narosla, and his eldest son, Cilmar Brantson, is now an adventurer himself. This is a remarkable achievement, considering that time has passed at roughly the same rate in both worlds...
