Kivan joined the Bloodhawks after Eric had spent too much time hanging out with Kim and the rest of us and the damage had become irreversible. Kivan is a cleric of Correlon Lorethian; as a fighter he wields a powerful but cursed bastard sword which occasionally causes problems.
Kivan has been an effective addition to the Bloodhawk's fighting and healing capabilities. He doesn't forget an enemy, though, and carries a special grudge against the notorious pirate Dogface Pete. Perhaps the two of them will meet again someday. Kivan has also become active in spreading the worship of Correlan Lorethian to new areas, helping to set up shrines and temples in places that elven traders and sailors visit.
