Nolgrud was an early character in the MSU campaign. He was rather gruff, perhaps because he was ugly enough to stop a clock, but he wasn't a bad guy despite it all. He became even less attractive when an encounter with a powerful wizard left him with his hands sticking out of his ears.
Things got even worse for the poor dwarf when a vampire drained him and turned him into another vampire - an unusual fate for a dwarf, to say the least. The short, ugly vampire plagued the city of Ossana for years, until he was finally destroyed.
