God of Deserts
Lesser Gods
Alignment: N
Plane: Concordant Opposition
Symbol: Three interlocking sand dunes.
Appearance: Danask's natural form, the one usually encountered, is a tower of sand, stark and terrifying, radiating heat and aridity. He has been known to appear as a nomad, wearing a scimitar and other typical desert garb, although of finest quality. When in this form he passes as a wanderer from a distant tribe, come to participate in festival contests of combat, horsemanship, etc., though he is really inspecting and evaluating those who dwell in his domain.
Attributes: Danask is primarily concerned with maintaining and expanding desert terrain. His ultimate goal is to cover all the lands with his deserts. Life is cheap in the desert, and the god has little use for those who cannot adapt to its harsh existence.
Danask is like the desert itself; stark, patient, unforgiving, but even-tempered. His anger is slow to build, for the desert itself is quick to punish the hasty and the unprepared. Change is slow, unlike the fast-growing forests or the moody waters. Desert creatures, though ugly or deadly by other standards, are loved and nurtured by Danask. In them is his future.
Mortal Followers: Desert dwellers
