Goddess of Agriculture & the Harvest
Greater God
Alignment: LG
Plane: Arcadia
Symbol: Cornucopia
Appearance: Erivita's appearance changes subtly with the seasons. In spring her hair is flaxen brown, tied back in a ponytail. In summer she is blond, and her hair flows freely. In fall her auburn hair falls to shoulder length, and in winter her hair is grey and braided. In all aspects she is profoundly beautiful, though simply garbed. Her knee-length brown tunic is belted with a woven cord made of various grain stalks. She goes barefoot, to better commune with the elements that give her fields and orchards nutriment. At her side she wears a pouch containing all of the seeds of all varieties of plants that are grown and cultivated.
Attributes: Erivita has dominion over all things cultivated. It was she who gave mankind knowledge of agriculture. She guides and protects farmers and nurtures crops to ensure bountiful harvests, and is revered as one of the greatest benefactors of humankind. If she is neglected, she can withdraw her blessing, causing famine and blight. She may appear frequently in farming areas during the planting and harvest seasons, but rarely in her true guise, usually choosing to appear as a goodwife. Her role brings her into conflict with Belos, for famine is a handmaiden to war, and more subtly with Iymara, when farmlands encroach upon the wilderness.
