Art Schaldenbrand returns for a cameo appearance, Art Ward returns for part of the year, and Terry moves to California and rejoins the campaign
1/1/3133: On level 5A of Ebar Krowden the group battles and defeats Smorg the blue dragon. Later the group finds a carved yagnodaemon face on a wall: it asks them the riddle "What's the difference between a beholder and a man looking at twelve drones?" When the group's answer isn't exactly right is shoots red beams from its eyes, causing those in the party who fail their saving throws to become secretly obsessed with killing a random member of the group. The heroes move up to 3rd level and camp near the wish pool. That evening the obsessions reach full flower and chaos erupts. Erik tries to kill Rathbone, but Rathbone gets away and Norill kills Erik by turning him into a fish. Postumus slays Beldraggin by using the wish pool, and Fondue kills Janee in a like manner. Mentiri does in Narn. Rathbone tries to kill Raang, but Erik's attack on Rathbone gives Raang time to get away and hide. Jedinna and Parn also want to kill Janee, but Fondue beat them to it. Unaffected members of the group either flee or try to restrain the homicidal.
1/2/3133: The murderous obsessions have dissipated, and the group warily gets back together. The roper who lives nearby, who by this time has genuinely converted to Eru-worship, visits them. Beldraggin and Janee return to life when the wishes used to kill them expire. Soujrnee raises Erik and Narn.
1/4/3133: Exploration resumes. The group runs into a trapper and several minotaurs working in combination, and the trapper kills Norill. The group battle some mummies, and after defeating an earth elemental they find the maunsharp, a magical harp that can temporarily raise one random stat for one person 1-7 points once each day. Narn uses the wish pool to boost Soujrnee to 9th level, and Soujrnee raises Norill.
1/5/3133: The group battles a dracolisk, who petrifies Janee and Postumus before being overcome. Postumus is successfully restored, but system shock kills Janee. Soujrnee raises her.
1/7/3133: The group finds a statue whose inscription bids them to choose between wealth and happiness. They all choose happiness except for Raang, Dardania, Bodo, and Soujrnee. Those that choose happiness get flat cats, furry, purring creatures whose presence relaxes and soothes; the others get large sapphires. Unfortunately, as Mentiri discovers, wealth and happiness do not mix; when they are brought together the gems explode and the flat cats turn into savage monsters. Nonetheless, a few sapphires and a number of flat cats are brought away intact. At the end of the day the group transports to Ossana to resupply and train.
1/13/3133: Jedinna, Soujrnee, Alicante, and Beldraggin sail to Krell, accompanied by Bodo and Mentiri, who are in disguise to avoid the attentions of the White Guard.
1/14/3133: Jedinna journeys on to Pekay to visit her family.
1/15/3133: Bodo and Mentiri go to Lycapsus to visit Quoroth Embal.
1/17/3133: Back in Krell, Mentiri sells magic items to get a wish and a limited wish from the mysterious Muer in order to boost her intelligence and learn some spells she previously failed to know.
2/2/3133: Alicante departs for the village of Lago on her quest to win her paladin's warhorse. En route she battles a giant. They slay each other, but Alicante finds herself raised by the side of the road, though she does not know who did it.
2/4/3133: Alicante reaches Lago and recovers the Helm of Faros from the evil Zork. She thus wins Trigger, her warhorse.
2/8/3133: The entire group is reunited in Ossana. Santon returns and joins the group after a long absence.
2/9/3133: The group decides to take care of some unfinished business in the depths of the Forbidden City, so they set off south to accomplish this task.
2/17/3133: The party fends off some bloodhawks and descends into the dungeon. There they battle a very large group of gnolls and their pet trolls.
2/18/3133: The group fights an earth elemental and giant snakes. They are attacked by a purple worm, which Norill polymorphs into a regular earthworm.
2/19/3133: Something has made Raang increasingly paranoid, and he strikes at dawn, casting hold person on Alicante, Erik, and Rathbone. He seizes the amulet of summoning and escapes. Mentiri tries to use lethal measures to stop him, but is mentally dominated by Alicante and prevented from doing so. Mentiri is wroth with the paladin when the domination wears off, but the group uses the flat cats to soothe things. The group leaves the Forbidden City and heads back north.
2/22/3133: Bodo and Mentiri head for Copperhame to check on something, while the rest of the group continues on towards Ossana.
2/26/3133: The bulk of the group reaches Ossana.
2/28/3133: Bodo and Mentiri rejoin the group.
3/1/3133: The group ships out for Krell, on their way to try and find the legendary sword Colroth's Bane in the ruins of Tolimar Castle.
3/2/3133: They reach Krell, and take rooms at the Slapping Fish Inn.
3/9/3133: After passing through Pekay the group meets Garval Kimby, who joins the group to serve Soujrnee.
3/11/3133: The group arrives at the village of Feli, near the ruins they seek. They decide to press on into the nearby marsh, looking for the ruins.
3/13/3133: They locate the dungeon, decide to enter the following morning.
3/14/3133: The group finds a little girl at the entrance to the dungeon. She seems dazed. The group takes her with them. Inside the dungeon they fight a swarm of giant ants. The little girl is taken back to Feli by Mentiri.
3/15/3133: Back into the dungeon, where Minna foils an ambush by a group of greenhags. The hags are killed. The thief Cat's Eye enters the dungeon, where he meets and joins forces with the group. That night a shade appears and hovers near Megas.
3/16/3133: The group slays an evil defender and decommissions and purifies an altar to Miaura. A gold-colored cat begins to follow the group, making some of them suspicious. Alicante loses her right arm to a gang of giant slicer beetles. The group also defeats a large pack of werewolves, taking a number of them prisoner. The group exits the dungeon and spends the night in Feli.
3/19/3133: The group arrives in Orbali, where they turn the weres over to the authorities. Alicante's missing arm is regenerated.
3/24/3133: Soujrnee heads back to Ossana, where he intends to spend a month reading his Book of Exalted Deeds. The rest of the group heads back to the dungeon.
3/27/3133: The group goes back into the dungeon. They find another evil altar. Mentiri attempts to use it's powers, but is restrained by Rathbone's ring of telekinesis. Alicante, Megas, and Postumus try to destroy the altar, but fail. Catseye palms a dagger found near the altar in all the confusion.
3/29/3133: The exploration of 2nd level continues. Alicante has a target painted on her armor, courtesy of Mentiri. The group ventures down to 3rd level, where they battle giant slugs and a cockatrice. A brain mole attacks Alicante, and it burns out her ability to dominate. The group is unsuccessful in locating the mole, but the cat that is still following them pounces on it and kills it. The group finds a vampire's coffin, with an occupant, and haul it out into the daylight and open the lid. Poof! That evening the shade again appears in front of Megas, who is seriously rattled.
3/30/3133: The heroes battle enchanted suits of armor and fire elementals. The find the Horn of the Cats, an enchanted device which can summon the War Cats. Mentiri wins it. The golden cat meows at Mentiri to give him the horn, but Mentiri refuses. The group ventures on and fights Colroth's zombie, which they destroy after a tough battle. They find Colroth's Bane, which Norill wins. The group exits the dungeon.
4/2/3133: Postumus and Parn head for Balimar, while the rest of the group goes to Krell.
4/10/3133: Postumus arrives in Balimar. The rest of the group heads back to the dungeon.
4/12/3133: Soujrnee, his reading done, leaves Ossana for Krell.
4/15/3133: Postumus lays flowers on Tabitha's grave.
4/17/3133: The group re-enters the dungeon. A raksasha is battled and killed, but Santon's hawk Skree falls in the battle. The group exits the now completely explored dungeon.
4/20/3133: The entire group, including Soujrnee and Postumus, are reunited in Orbali. Skree is buried with honors.
4/23/3133: The group sails into Raab, intending to make for Ebar Krowden. They change their minds and ride for Ossana instead.
5/4/3133: They reach Ossana.
5/8/3133: Beldraggin hires Andros One-ear as his new henchman. The group leaves for Ebar Krowden.
5/17/3133: The group is attacked by a small green dragon, which they dispatch.
5/21/3133: The group enters the mountain, and do some more exploring in the Entry Dungeon. They fight a band of troglodytes, who surrender and are questioned. Norill and Alicante gaze into a pool of narcissism and are ensnared by it. Samrith frees Alicante of the narcissism. The group finds the chamber that contains Nellie and her deck of enchanted cards. Those who wish to draw from her deck dice for the chance to go first. Norill wins; she gains some magic items. Mentiri follows, and the only card that has any effect gives her Godsblade, a magic sword. Rathbone follows; he gets the abilities of a blacksmith, along with a strength and dexterity of 16, but then he also receives a curse that causes him to fall into a deep sleep whenever he experiences pleasure. Alyrya gets the same first result as Rathbone, and the second card leaves her securely wrapped up in a magic rope. Postumus gains +2 to his saving throws, but his charisma becomes tied to his generosity. Janee is also left wrapped in a magic rope. Dardania's first card grants her the ability of precognition, but the second card lowers her intelligence to 2. Bodo goes last, and first gains training from a mentor somewhere in the dungeon. His second card gives him a constitution of 18 and causes all substances he ingests to have the reverse of their usual effect. Alyrya and Janee are freed from their ropes. The Godsblade tries to take control of Mentiri. She evades this, and takes care of the moronic Dardania.
5/22/3133: Samrith frees Norill of the narcissism. The group returns to Nellie's room, and more drawing of cards takes place. Janee and Mentiri gain a magic item. Norill gets +2 to her wisdom and a 10-question commune spell. Bodo and Megas gain the ability to regenerate 1 hit point per round. Santon and Beldraggin get a magic item, but Jedinna declines when her turn comes. Alyrya and Jedinna each gain three wishes. The group leaves the entry dungeon and heads for the main dungeon.
5/23/3133: The group visits the wish pool to learn about some of the strange items they have won and to answer other questions, acquiring various nemesis. Jedinna uses one of her real wishes to raise her wisdom from 15 to 16, and Janee uses a wish to get the group into a vacuum-sealed chamber that has baffled them for months. Alas, they discover that the treasure inside has already been pilfered. Disgruntled, they move on to the Eel of Fortune, where they lose a lot of money. The group fights a large group of abishai devils; Rathbone has to escape from these nemesis of his on the escape goat. Jedinna uses her second wish to raise Soujrnee's constitution from a 6 to a 10.
5/24/3133: Beldraggin tests the magic item he got from Nellie's deck, a ring, and it tries to drown him. He is saved by the others. The apparition that has been haunting Megas appears once again.
5/27/3133: The group once again draws from Nellie's deck. Santon gains a magic item and the curse that all of his potions will be potions of delusion. Norill gets a wand of magic detection and is then pulled into the deck. Megas also gets a Godsblade and the curse that if he ever lies he loses a level. Narn gains two potions and an enchanted dagger. The group leaves Nellie's and explores onward. They are hit by a ghoul trap. Bodo is killed by the ghouls, but regenerates back to life.
5/28/3133: The group battles some were-rats. Postumus fights with ferocity, killing two in single combat. Megas is haunted by the apparition once again.
5/29/3133: Alyrya uses another of her wishes, gaining the ability to change shape. The group battles mummies on the 4th level of the entry dungeon.
5/30/3133: The group finds a device that casts a random spell on the user. Different interesting effects occur, but Megas is killed by a cone of cold. Soujrnee tries to raise him and fails. The group battles a twin band of manticores and owlbears. They overcome them, and Mentiri palms a magic dagger from the hoard.
6/1/3133: The group questions the shade of Megas, and decide to clone him. Raang returns abruptly from wherever he has been, using the amulet of summoning to rejoin the group. Narn and Jedinna draw from Nellie's deck, to no great result. With the amulet again in their possession, the group is able to teleport over to Ossana. There the clone spell is begun on Megas, and Dardania's mind is restored. Mentiri visits Muer, and pays a huge sum of money to wish for psionic abilities. The group returns to Ebar Krowden. There Soujrnee, who has grown suspicious that Mentiri has been stealing treasure, confronts the illusionist. Beldraggin is furious, and wants her hands as trophies. Bodo is also fingered, and he and Mentiri confess to various misdeeds. The group confers, and by a narrow vote decide no to expel Mentiri from the party.
6/2/3133: The group explores 5th level of the entry dungeon. Stargoth dons a suit of magical armor and becomes an "Iron Man"-like figure. The group battles magic statues, and Janee is killed. The group finds the body of Musty the halfling.
6/3/3133: Soujrnee raises Janee. The group finds Orliss, who joins the party.
6/4/3133: Orliss draws from Nellie's deck, and gains 2 magic items, as well as +2 to his wisdom and a 10-question commune spell. Soujrnee raises Musty, who is weak but grateful and garrulous. Samrith uses the wish pool to learn how to get Stargoth out of the armor. Orliss uses the wish pool to get information for the group about the large band of trolls that charge tolls in the passage between the two dungeons, and ends up with the unfortunate nemesis of bats. Jedinna uses one of her wishes to gain a permanent +1 on all her combat rolls. Postumus, who has been stricken with kleptomania, steals a brooch from Dardania.
6/5/3133: Postumus's theft is discovered. He and Parn are knocked down by Mentiri's color spray, and Postumus is taken to the Temple of Eru in Ossana, where he is cured. He returns and apologizes to the group.
6/6/3133: The group takes on the trolls in a huge battle. They sack the monster's tower and take their treasure.
6/7/3133: The group rests and heals. Musty and Bodo talk...and talk...and talk.
6/8/3133: The group adventures on 5th level, defeating demons and giant scorpions.
6/10/3133: They explore more of 5th level. Orliss dodges several attacks by bats. The group comes to the "test of all knowledge". It raises Bodo's intelligence by +1, gives Orliss special insight, but gives Alyrya schizophrenia, complete with four alternate personalities. The first one, Allo the hobbit, emerges that evening.
6/11/3133: Alyrya is now Allorog the dwarf. The group tries to get her to Krell via the amulet, but mass chaos results due to the amulet's uneven powers. Alyrya is finally cured. Santon once again departs the group.
6/15/3133: The group re-enters the dungeon, and Orliss is killed by bats. The group fights many monsters, and eventually comes to the evil mage El-Gifthark. They win a tough fight against he and his forces, but Alicante is killed by a prismatic sphere. The mage is captured.
6/16/3133: Soujrnee raises Alicante, and Stargoth uses a helm of opposite alignment on el-Gifthark.
6/18/3133: Soujrnee raises Orliss.
6/21/3133: Orliss works out a deal with the Ossana thieves guild: they will remove the bat nemesis from him in return for 25 years of service, to begin a little later. Norill departs the group for the time being, going to dwell in High Greybole for awhile.
6/22/3133: The group explores 6th level, where they battle stone automatons.
6/23/3133: A trick rot grub door gets Beldraggin, Alicante, and Janee, but they are saved by cure disease spells. The group battles type II demons.
6/24/3133: The group descends to 7th level. They fight fomorian giants and other critters, and meet Cronax the Pilferer. He and Bodo hit it off.
6/30/3133: The group leaves the dungeon and heads down off the mountain.
7/2/3133: The group meets another band of adventurers, led by Hildegard, and hear for the first time of the rise of Sulichus the lich.
7/14/3133: The group reaches Ossana. Postumus becomes wildly popular as he gives away hundreds of gold pieces.
7/17/3133: Janee, Soujrnee, and Jedinna leave for a visit to Greymarsh. Stargoth is finally removed from his armor, and Rathbone gets together with Junia. He sleeps for 24 hours afterward, but deems it worth it.
7/25/3133: Fondue departs the group to return to the Valley of the Halflings, with many farewells.
7/30/3133: Bodo and Mentiri put up posters all over Ossana, purportedly from Governor Rexalin, saying that Rexalin will hold an "embraceable ewe" contest to pick a sheep, leaving little doubt that the sheep is for carnal purposes. The populace of the city is in stitches, but Rexalin is enraged.
8/1/3133: The group leaves Ossana to return to Ebar Krowden.
8/16/3133: The group enters the dungeon and descends back down to 7th level. They move to take out a group of minotaurs that Cronax has told Bodo about, though worried about the minotaur's unknown but sinister patron. The minotaurs are defeated, but an unseen force begins to possess members of the party. Soon Alicante, Erik, Alyrya, Dardania, Postumus, Janee, Jedinna, and Raang all all fighting against the group. Mentiri paralyzes Raang, but is turned into a caterpillar by Alyrya. Orliss knocks Jedinna unconscious. The group retreats, under heavy attack by Erik's spells, and becomes trapped in a room. They pinpoint a large stone face as the source of their troubles, but Beldraggin is possessed as he tries to smash it. Alicante breaks the possession, but no one believes her. In desperation she calls upon her god, Forseti, who responds by sending a solar. The solar drives the evil spirit out of the stone face and restores everyone to their own minds. Soujrnee casts dispel magic on Mentiri. Beldraggin smashes the stone face, and the group finds writings that reveal that their opponent is the demon prince Fraz Urb'luu, who will be back after the group. He can only be banished by the Book of Screams, located beneath Ebar Cahaundin.
8/17/3133: The group decides to seek the Book and leaves the dungeon, heading for Ebar Cahaundin, which lies to the west along the Darkroots.
8/28/3133: The group ascends Ebar Cahaundin. They pass the cave of the clan bears, then find the ice fist within which lies the ring of Gaxx. They locate the entrance to the dungeon.
8/29/3133: The group enters the dungeon and beat four cloud giants in a tough struggle.
8/30/3133: They go down to 2nd level. There Alyrya finds the book "The Wit and Wise Sayings of the Norse Gods". The book is blank. The group defeats a type V demon, but a banshee kills Bodo and Janee. Soujrnee raises Bodo.
9/1/3133: Soujrnee raises Janee. Orliss solves a difficult riddle, allowing the group continue onward. The group gets past magical traps and recovers the Book. The mysterious Clinton shows up, and laconically warns the group of further danger. They exit the dungeon and Alyrya and Erik summon elementals to melt the ice. While they do so a large red dragon attacks the group. It is driven off, but Soujrnee is killed. The ice fist is melted and the box containing the ring is recovered. The group amulets to Glendon's castle, where they give the box to the famous bard for safekeeping.
9/3/3133: Soujrnee and Jedinna are married at Glendon's in a simple ceremony.
9/4/3133: Mirene, a powerful mage and friend of Glendon's begins to cast the spells in the Book of Screams. Alyrya assists. Tension builds within the group as the hour of the summoning, and hopefully the banishment, of the demon prince Fraz Urb'luu approaches.
9/5/3133: Fraz is summoned and banished for 100 years. Glendon declares a celebration.
9/6/3133: Soujrnee and Jedinna leave on their honeymoon.
9/7/3133: The rest of the group heads back to Ebar Krowden.
9/16/3133: Soujrnee rejoins the group, bringing a new member, Ahrias. The party enters the dungeon and goes back down to the 7th level of the entry dungeon. Several monsters are fought and defeated, but while Bodo tries to disarm a trap the group is horrified to see his head explode. This turns out to be a practical joke cooked up by Bodo and Mentiri, and Bodo is fine.
9/17/3133: More exploring. Bodo spikes Alyrya's water with a philtre of love, and she falls for Soujrnee. She declares her love to him. He accepts one kiss, then casts dispel magic on her. Soujrnee buys the Norse book from Alyrya and burns it. A mirror of life trapping sucks in Beldraggin, but Bodo retrieves the mirror and frees the dwarf.
9/18/3133: The group beats a giant slug and a clay golem. They find some arrows of paladin slaying, which Stargoth destroys. Later they run across some cowardly trolls (they were hit with a fear curse some time in the past). A moth with the face of Orliss flutters over to the group and dies at Orliss's feet.
9/19/3133: A quick visit to Ossana to take care of some buying and selling reveals that Bodo and Mentiri's house has been searched and the two are wanted criminals. The group does some more exploring in the dungeon.
9/20/3133: The group has a couple of tough fights, against some umber hulks and then against a trio of annis. The group is mauled but triumphant.
9/22/3133: A cursed doorway splits Alyrya into two halves, one good (who is imprisoned), and one evil (who is with the group). Dardania, Bodo, and Ahrias are hit by gamma rays from a statue; they will turn into "hulks" if under stress.
9/23/3133: Alyrya is charged with taking the three hulks to Ossana to be cured. Instead, the evil duplicate turns Bodo over to Rexalin in Ossana, strands Dardania atop Ebar Cahaundin, and traps Ahrias in a sepia snake sigil elsewhere in the dungeon. Dardania turns into a sparrow and starts the long flight back.
9/24/3133: Alyrya returns to the rest of the group. The helm of opposite alignment is slapped on her, and she confesses everything. In Ossana, Bodo "hulks out" and breaks out of his cell. He is amuleted back to the dungeon and restrained once free of the anti-magic influence of the cell. The group heads for the surface. On the way they meet Breaman (aka Breamar) and take him with them.
9/25/3133: Bodo is cured of hulkness.
9/26/3133: Ahrias is found and released.
9/27/3133: Dardania flies in. Upset with Alyrya, she hulks out and is restrained. They take her to Glendon's and cure her.
9/28/3133: The group ventures down to 8th level of the entry dungeon. There they find an enchanted roulette wheel. Not everyone tries it, but some use it several times. Some of the more noteworthy of the 46 spins are: Alyrya gets pneumonia, and another spin drives her insane (that is, the evil half of her that has been converted to good is now insane). Bodo and Dardania are buried beneath a heap of rotten turnips. Janee, Mentiri, and Ahrias get the noses of star-nose moles. Orliss gets a ham sandwich on a silver plate, but another spin forces him to blurt out the names of major demons every so often. Bodo thinks he's a dog. Erik gets a loyal war dog, and then has his face moved to the back of his head. Dardania gets an arrow of woodchuck slaying. Rathbone becomes allergic to hobbits. Dardania is compelled to dance. Mentiri learns the centaur language. Raang gets laryngitis and is feebleminded. Postumus and Mentiri are imprisoned in stone blocks and have to be chipped out. And so on.
10/1/3133: The group has rested, and most of the effects of the roulette wheel have worn off. Several adventurers use the wish pool to get limited wishes to change the result of some of the more unpleasant permanent roles, and this mostly works out well. Three people try the roulette wheel; Ahrias is showered in flower petals and hates Bodo, Raang gets donkey ears and falls in love with both Alyrya and Samrith, and Orliss develops a phobia against spiders.
10/2/3133: The group looks for and finally finds the "real" Alyrya. Her two halves are merged together, and she is again one person. The group explores further. The defeat a pair of demons (a type II and a type IV) and some other monsters, then get ambushed by a group of 12 trolls. Dardania is killed in this fight.
10/3/3133: Dardania is raised.
10/8/3133: Exploring resumes. The group finds the auntie paladin helm. Alyrya tries it on, and her alignment is shifted again, this time to LG. After defeating a band of wights Stargoth is teleported to Elysium, but the group recovers him via the gate tree. The group finds a warning posted by Fraz before his banishment, warning intruders that the traps beyond are absolutely lethal, but the heroes press onward. An evil altar disintegrates Beldraggin. It tries to disintegrate Bodo, but Bodo's ring of spell turning bounces it back and the altar is destroyed. Mentiri and Alyrya go to the wish pool. Mentiri wishes for another saving throw for Beldraggin. She gets a nemesis of otters and the save fails. Alyrya tries is next, and this time it works. Getting past these traps, the group finds some scrolls. One turns Ahrias into a mynah bird, one turns Orliss into ice, and one gives Raang a wish. The group takes Orliss to a cold room they have found to keep him from melting.
10/9/3133: Rathbone and Janee test the last two scrolls. Rathbone gets a wish, but Janee's scroll turns her heart into a nasty little creature that eats its way out of her chest, killing her. The group tries to restore Ahrias and orliss, without success.
10/10/3133: Janee is raised, and Ahrias and Orliss are restored. The group explores a little more, fighting invisible giant scorpions.
10/11/3133: The group defeats ice toads and a basilisk. A trap sends Raang to the ethereal plane. Soujrnee uses oil of etherealness to look for him, and both are blown astray by an ethereal cyclone, winding up eventually in the Elemental Plane of Water. Garval goes to the roulette wheel to try and rescue Soujrnee. He fails, but does end up with a large, strange egg. Ahrias tries it and hits the jackpot, gaining a level. Mentiri goes to Quoroth's to train, and learns that Governor Rexalin has staged a false execution of she and Bodo - officially, the two are dead.
10/14/3133: Garval uses the wish pool to gain knowledge of what has happened to Soujrnee and Raang.
10/15/3133: Alyrya and Stargoth go to the Temple of Thor in Ossana to ask for the help of high priest Tarrenket Tor. Tarrenket is able to retrieve the missing clerics from the ethereal plane. The group returns to dungeon delving, and a riddle ages Erik 200 years. The group battles and defeats some type IV demons, but Raang succumbs to fear and flees. As he does so he is ambushed and and his mind usurped by an intellect devourer.
10/16/3133: The intellect devourer is converted to good by the auntie paladin helm, and Raang is restored to himself. The group finds a lonely statue - they bring it to life, and Alyrya names the resulting man Neil Lithic. The group battles ropers and owlbears, and the owlbears kill Janee and Orliss before they are defeated. The group takes two eggs found in owlbear nests. Neil is taken to civilization.
10/17/3133: Orliss and Janee are raised.
10/18/3133: Raang wins a harem at the roulette wheel.
10/20/3133: After a lot of preparation the group fights and destroys a shoggoth on level 8.
10/21/3133: The group departs Ebar Krowden and heads for Ebar Duergar, following a map they have found.
10/24/3133: Rathbone casts animal friendship on a raven, which he names Huskgouger.
10/28/3133: The group ascends the slopes of Ebar Duergar. They rout a large band of ogres. The dwarf they are cooking turns out to be Engarth, a distant relative of Beldraggin, and Soujrnee raises him. The surviving ogres are converted to good.
10/30/3133: The group maintains a base camp on Ebar Duergar so they can amulet back, then take a bit of a vacation, running various errands and visiting various friends and relations. Garval's egg hatches into a triceratops, which he names Uncle Beasley.
11/14/3133: The group reassembles on the slopes of Ebar Duergar. With Mentiri comes Nariadni, who joins the group. The entrance to the dungeon is at last located.
11/15/3133: The group enters the dungeon and has a tough battle against a mixed force of hill giants, ogres, annis, and trolls. The group holes up, and Bodo and Mentiri play with Fledge, an owlbear they have hatched.
11/16/3133: The heroes find an enchanted helm, which issues a ringing challenge to them to cleanse this ancient temple of Apollo of the evil that now infests it. The group enthusiastically accepts the challenge.
11/18/3133: The group rests after two days of hacking their way deeper into the dungeon.
11/19/3133: The group re-enters the dungeon. Hallucinatory mushrooms panic Bodo, who flees to Lycapsus believing that Demogorgon is after him. He returns when the spores wear off. The group finds a magic picture frame depicting a cottage, and Rathbone and Alyrya venture through and visit the druid Drelham in her cottage. The group continues to adventure. Nariadni is turned into a magpie, and Postumus has his fingers turned into newts. Orliss loses a level as the group battles wraiths.
11/20/3133: Nariadni is restored to her true shape, and Postumus is taken to Ossana, where he gets better. Stephan the Healer restores his fingers.
11/21/3133: The group explores further, defeating a group of hill giants and dopplegangers working together. Bodo is killed by yellow mold, but is quickly raised.
11/22/3133: The adventurers defeat some undead led by Merrick, evil clerical henchman of the wizard Kython, who is the heart of the evil in the dungeon. Alyrya is hit by a wight. She goes through the picture frame to Drelham's cottage, and Drelham restores her level in exchange for a quest. Merrick is captured and questioned.
11/23/3133: The group forges onward. Beldraggin kills the leader of a band of duergar in single combat. They find a magical chime, and Orliss wins it. When he strikes it it summons Chimeroc, the demon lord of chimeras. The group gives the demon the rod of resurrection in return for Orliss's life.
11/24/3133: An iron box renders Bodo and Dardania mute. The group brushes off a warning left by Kython and thrashes a group of ettins, ogres, trolls, and a frost giant.
11/25/3133: Dardania and Bodo are still mute after dispel magics fail. A medusa wanders past, and Bodo and Orliss try to mug it, not realizing its true nature. They are both petrified, but Bug Boghouse is contacted and agrees to restore them both for a modest fee. The group continues on, entering a maze which is filled with swarms of mutant giant ticks. Beyond is much magic, though a cursed ring turns Raang into a horse.
11/26/3133: The group follows the advice of the general staff and pretends to give up and leave the dungeon.
11/28/3133: After a couple of days to refit, the group teleports into the dungeon for a surprise assault on Kython and his forces. The group descends swiftly from 3rd to 5th level, stealthily avoiding the fights they can and striking quickly when they can't. They accumulate some wear and tear, but press on. They penetrate almost to Kython before they are discovered. His inner bodyguard of hell hounds, fire giants, wraiths, and annis are killed, but Janee dies and Alicante loses a level. Alyrya teleports to the wish pool in Ebar Krowden and wishes the group was back to full strength. She picks up gnolls as a nemesis, but the group is restored - for 24 hours. They engage Kython. He kills Alicante, Erik, Minna, Dardania, Raang, and Andros. Rathbone gets to him with his ring of telekinesis, but Kython destroys the ring and tries to escape while invisible. Alyrya spots him and guns him down in a magic-missle fast draw. Many of the group's magic items are destroyed, and they hole up and desperately try to cure themselves before the wish wears off. They succeed, and suffer no further casualties.
11/30/3133: Soujrnee raises Raang and Dardania.
12/1/3133: Alicante is raised, but the attempt on Erik fails.
12/2/3133: Andros is raised, but Janee also fails. The group uses the wish pool to get re-rolls for Erik and Janee, and they both succeed. This also restores Minna.
12/4/3133: The group wraps up some loose ends in the dungeon, exploring areas they bypassed on the way to get Kython.
12/5/3133: More exploring, with will o' the wisps and trolls defeated.
12/7/3133: The group explores 4th level. They find the wight-on-a-rope, which Soujrnee destroys, and put in a long day of adventuring.
12/8/3133: There is more dungeon to explore. Janee is killed in a battle with ettins. They enter a gorgon's maze, and Soujrnee, Alicante, and Postumus are all petrified.
12/10/3133: Bug is found, and unpetrifies the three statues. System shock, however, kills Soujrnee and Postumus.
12/11/3133: Drelham raises Soujrnee.
12/12/3133: Soujrnee raises Postumus.
12/13/3133: Soujrnee raises Janee.
12/21/3133: After a period of testing and training, exploration resumes. Bodo and Dardania finally have their voices restored. Various crawly creatures are defeated. The group finds a still-active shrine of Apollo. This fane changes the alignment of Beldraggin, Alyrya, Rathbone, Ahrias, Mentiri, and Dardania to CG, and grants each of them a point of constitution. This change effectively makes Dardania a 0-level cleric of Apollo, though with her old hit points. The group uses a limited wish to restore Dardania's druidhood, and the auntie paladin helm switches Beldraggin's alignment back to LG.
12/22/3133: The group puts together various scrolls that have been found and solve the dungeon's final puzzle, recovering the fabulous mace St. Alloh. Samrith wins it.
12/23/3133: The group leaves the dungeon and heads down off of Ebar Duergar, heading for the Iron Fortress of Apollo on the Fourchette river, and their promised reward.
