Notes: Gaspar Tegman, a hearty man of wide girth, was known throughout Calidon as a wealthy seeker and collector of antiquities. The Bloodhawks became involved with him when he came to Ustil in pursuit of the Mostelle Bloodhawk, which agents of his had stolen from Tacindalloc. The group ended up selling the statuette to Tegman for a large sum of money.
It turned out, however, that Tegman had been trying for many years to acquire items such as the Mostelle Bloodhawk, which granted their possessor control over a certain species of birds. Tegman now had enough of them to control much of the avian kingdom, and set out to recover the lost Powers of the Marakk, the former God of Avians, slain many centuries before. The Bloodhawks learned of his plan and set out to recover the Powers before he could.
Tegman dogged them every step of the way. Arriving in Xenthus by unknown means of his own, he waited for the combined Bloodhawks of Telemarch group to recover all of the necessary items for him, and once they had he launched numerous attempts to wipe them out and claim the items for himself. The combined group proved too strong and resourceful for him, though. They succeeded in having Maripol become the next Goddess of the Avians, and Maripol's first act was to transform Tegman into a starling, in which form he remains.
